We believe in fostering and encouraging all student’s creativity, confidence, self-expression, whilst also developing art skills to a high level.
Curriculum Intent
To ensure that all students are confident, creative, and reflective thinkers
For students to develop ideas through contextual and analytical research
- to provide opportunities for students to experiment and explore a range of media and techniques
- to develop students’ ability to observe and record creatively and imaginatively (drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques)
- to promote the confidence in students to personally present meaningful and informed responses
- To know about great artists, craft makers and designers and understand the historical and cultural development of their art forms
To empower students to make positive contributions to the wider arts industries/society through the development of key skills and knowledge
All students will develop knowledge of:
- Making Skills of Making Art, Craft and Design
- Skills of Designing and Developing Ideas
- Knowledge about Art Processes and Context
- Evaluating Skills of Judgements and evaluating
